INTRODUCTION TO HANDGUN (4 Hours)

INTRODUCTION TO CARBINE (4 Hours)

GEAR REQUIREMENTS:
Handgun:
2 magazines or the ability to have 20-30 rounds per training iteration
Quality Holster, with or without retention (The holster should be suitable for competition or carry)
Minimum 1 magazine pouches
Suitable Belt
Carbine:
Serviceable and zeroed Carbine (50 yard zero preferably) and tools necessary to maintain it
3 magazines or the ability to have 45-50 rounds per training iteration
Magazine pouches(chest rig, or body armor will work) 1 belt mounted mag pouch is preferable
Sling
Pistol or Carbine:
Comfortable clothing suitable for kneeling and going prone
Hearing and Eye protection (wrap around eye protection recommended)
Food water and personal items as needed (we will take short breaks for water and food)
Ammunition, 150 rounds minimum (Handgun or Carbine)

Intermediate Carbine Training
TOPICS COVERED:
Safety brief and safe gun handling procedures and techniques
Basic skills of shooting
Overview of Carbine, controls, features and maintenance
Gear selection and management, including sling use
Load, unload
Reloads, bolt lock and tactical
Stoppages and malfunctions
Multiple target transitions
Shooting while moving
Movement techniques
Ready positions
Zeroing procedures and external ballistics
Unsupported shooting positions
Supported shooting positions
Shooting from non-dominant side
Strong and weak hand only carbine operation
Carbine to Handgun Transitions

INTERMEDIATE CARBINE, Two Day (16 Hours)
COURSE COST - $350
Ammunition, 1000 rounds carbine, 50 rounds Handgun minimum
GEAR REQUIREMENTS:
Serviceable and zeroed Carbine (50 yard zero preferably) and tools necessary to maintain it
3 magazines or the ability to have 45-50 rounds per training iteration
Magazine pouches(chest rig, or body armor will work) 1 belt mounted mag pouch is preferable

Low Light/No Light (Handgun/Carbine)

The use of weapon mounted lights with both weapon systems

ONE DAY LOW LIGHT/NO LIGHT (HANDGUN/CARBINE) (8 Hours)
COURSE COST - $175
(cost may vary due to range fees and equipment rental)
GEAR REQUIREMENTS:
Hearing and Eye protection (wrap around eye protection recommended)
Defensive Grade Pistol
Carbine with Sling – must allow you to operate with the carbine. Sling must keep the muzzle in a safe direction (straight up or straight down) when in a stored position
Quality Holster, with or without retention (The holster should be suitable for competition or carry)
Suitable Belt
Minimum two pistol and carbine magazine pouches
Minimum three pistol and three rifle magazines
Weapons lubrication, cleaning, maint supplies as needed.
Weapon mounted white lights
Hand held white light
NVG, IR Lasers can be rented for the course
